Paul loves being a realtor. The lessons he learned from a 20 year career in food service sales translate seamlessly into the skills needed to help you with your real estate goals. The biggest lesson learned was the importance and impact of good old fashioned customer service. Whether he was leaping out of bed at 5 am to rush product to a customer who had forgotten to place an order or troubleshooting a crisis over the phone while he was 300 feet off the ground climbing at Smith Rock, Paul realized that going that extra step for your customer not only feels great but it also sets you apart from the competition.
Having been through the experience of home buying and selling a few times himself, Paul understands how daunting the process can be. Part of what excites him about being a realtor is being able to use his experience to help alleviate the worry or anxiety and support you through your real estate transaction. Paul has been managing his own rental properties since 2004, having done many of his own repairs and remodels. He has a keen eye for the good, bad and the ugly while assessing a home and can therefore ensure that you are a well informed consumer or a well prepared seller.
Paul has a deep and long lived love for Portland. After road tripping from Missoula, MT to Portland to see Green Day at La Luna in 1993 (a shout out to any of you old school Portlanders), Paul fell head over heels for the city. Awestruck by the creative and quirky energy of the city coupled with it’s amazing access to a wide variety of outdoor activities, Paul packed his bags and headed for Stumptown. That love affair has continued to evolve throughout his 25 + year stint in PDX. So while you won’t catch Paul’s terrible punk rock band playing in any of the local bars any longer, you can definitely hit him up for his opinion on the city’s best pizza (it’s Lovely’s 50/50) or where he and his wife Jana like to have a beer and play a game of cribbage (did I mention Paul grew up in Minnesota?) as well as information on the local rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding or surfing spots.
Paul prides himself on giving authentic and caring service to his clients. He is knowledgeable, yet approachable and laid back. He will instill confidence in you and put you at ease as you take the crucial step in building your independent wealth.
