Margaret is a 5th generation Oregonian with decades of experience understanding the history & evolution of this amazing city’s neighborhoods & homes. After starting off with a career in therapy, Margaret became a Realtor in 2009, after buying & remodeling homes in SE Portland helped her find her calling. Combining her passion for working with people, negotiating for their needs & navigating difficult situations gives her enormous pride in her work.
Knowing this city in & out makes Margaret an invaluable resource for people in search of their own, special spot in Portland. When Margaret is not working, she is restoring her old 1913 Craftsman in the neighborhood that her father grew up in at the base of Mt Tabor, or camping & hiking in her VW van with her two boys plus puppy. Margaret’s favorite activity is finding all the PNW spots in nature with plenty of wifi coverage, because being able to negotiate & send an addendum on the banks of water or deep in the woods, is one of the many things that makes this pocket of the world so magical.

Full disclosure: I’ve known Margaret Gerlt outside of the realtor world for a few years.
